Vircell celebrates the twentieth anniversary of its activity.

The Beginnings…

In 1991 Vircell was founded by clinical microbiologists with extensive experience in hospital centers. The company used to focus its activity on the production of ready-to-use cell culture products that were distributed locally.

Today…

Vircell is an international company that produces kits for the diagnosis of infectious diseases through various techniques, with distributors in over 75 countries and that every day strengthens its global presence with over 300 product references.

We are proud of our strong international sales evolution and of the excellent results we are obtaining year after year. Vircell, with an annual compound growth of 17% (2000-2010), allocates around 15% of its sales to R&D+i each year. The development of new products will remain the cornerstone of our company as it is one of our most important differentiators.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those people whose work and commitment have contributed to the growth of the company. We would also like to share with all our customers the satisfaction of turning 20 years in the diagnosis of infectious diseases. Without them, we would have not achieved what we have now and we have no doubt that their loyalty and dedication is what makes us better.

Tomorrow…

Among our immediate projects are the construction of our new facilities in the Technological Park of Health Sciences of Granada, which will be intended for the company’s R&D activities; new technological platforms for diagnosis and lastly, the significant progress in certain strategic alliances with Germany, Japan, BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia India and China) and the U.S.

With such good expectations we are delighted to look forward, being aware of the challenges that higher productivity and turnover can mean. Our customer-focused model will continue to set the strategy to follow, committing at all times to research with the aim of providing the best solutions for the diagnosis of infectious diseases.
