Vircell develops a new rapid test for the diagnosis of Infectious Mononucleosis

VIRapid MONO M&G is the new immunocromatographic test for the qualitative detection of 4 serological markers of Epstein-Barr virus

As a result of our last researches, the Rapid Test team of Vircell has developed a new immunocromatographic test for the qualitative detection of 4 serological markers of Epstein-Barr virus.

This test, that will be available only in Europe during the introductory launch campaign, allows the simultaneous detection of PB HA, VCA IgM and IgG and EBNA IgG. These markers are the most relevant to define different phases of the illness (recent, late primary or past infection) and allows to dismiss other serious diseases with similar symptoms.

In only 20 minutes, this test offers visual results and only a pipette and a chronometer are needed to perform the technique. Its excellent results of sensitivity and specificity are due to the use of highly purified and recombinant antigens. This product will very useful in private labs and in emergency services in hospitals.

The transfer price of this new test (ref. VR001) is 80€ (ExWorks) and allows for 25 determinations.
