Joaquín Ortiz joined Vircell in april 2019 as a Scientific advisor in the Marketing department

Joaquin Ortiz obtained the Bachelor in Pharmacy by the Barcelona University, with a specialization in Clinical Laboratory and Clinical Microbiology. Following an initial period as manager in a Pharma office, Joaquin has developed his professional career in the In Vitro Diagnostics field for more than 30 years.

During all this time, Joaquin occupied different positions as Product Specialist in Clinical Lab and Product Manager of Bacteriology in the Spanish affiliate of Organon Teknika. Next to this, he worked as Product Manager, Group Product Manager and Marketing Manager in Biokit SA, always involved in the field of In Vitro Diagnostics for Infectious diseases.

During all his career Joaquin has always worked in an international environment. Joaquin has developed several functions as a trainer, Support activities and scientific advisor for the product specialists and End Users.

Joaquín has a large knowledge in infectious diseases as well as a large experience as a professor in training courses, seminars and webinars, Workshops and Oral sessions in different Scientific Congresses.
