Rafael holds a Ph.D. in Fundamental and Systems Biology, a degree in Biology from the University of Granada, and a Master's in Medical Science Liaison from the University of Madrid. He has a strong background in the biotechnology and in vitro diagnostics sectors.

Prior to joining Vircell, Rafael worked in the microbiology department of DOMCA, actively participating in various research and development (R&D) projects. Subsequently, he pursued an international career in the United Kingdom as a supervisor in the pathogenic microorganism’s laboratory at EUROFINS Scientific Group.

He joined Vircell’s Applications Specialists team in June 2016, contributing to the enhancement of training programs and the provision of technical support.

Currently, Rafael serves as the Technical Support Manager, leading and coordinating the activities of Vircell's technical team with the goal of ensuring excellent service and comprehensive solutions for clients.
