Laura joined Vircell Spain in October 2019 as an application specialist to provide pre-sale and post-sale support to Laboratories and Hospitals mainly in the northeast area of ​​Spain.

After studying Biomedical Sciences at the University of Barcelona, ​​he completed a Master's Degree in Advanced Microbiology at the same University and carried out his PhD studies (in UAB) at the Vall d'Hebron Hospital in Barcelona, carrying out the thesis on "Virological surveillance of the human syncytial respiratory virus: epidemiology and molecular characterization". She also made a stay at the Hôpital Universitaire Pitie --‐ Salpêtrière - Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Sorbonne) in Paris. She is the author of many posters in microbiology conferences as well as lots of articles in specialized magazines.

Laura has previous job experience as a Laboratory Technician in the Virology Unit at the Vall d´Hebron Hospital in Barcelona. Also, her last job experience before joining Vircell was R&D Project Management in the diagnostic sector company called Biokit.
