Rafael Gutiérrez Cabrera joined Vircell Spain in January 2016 as a sales representative for the Eastern Andalusia region, as well as the autonomous cities of Ceuta y Melilla.

He started his professional career in 1979 at the Laboratorio Substancia, in their General Diagnostics division. From 1980, he worked for Boehringer Ingelheim until their diagnostics division was acquired by Innogenetic in 1990. Ten years later, it became Ivernes, and then Alere, where he worked until 2015.

Rafael possess a Degree in Industrial Chemistry. He has also completed multiple training courses in sales and negotiation.
